There have been three murders over the weekend, which are now being investigated by the police. The latest victim is identified as kernel john. Mr. John was shot during the early hours of this morning at Kitchener Street, Marabella.

It is reported that at around 12:20 this morning Mr. John was at a birthday lime when he was shot. Residents say they heard the gunshots and when they checked they found Mr. John’s body. He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday Keron Brown and Gerel Solomon were killed in separate situations. 21-year-old Mr. Brown was shot several times in Claxton Bay. Relatives say he left his Orchid Gardens, Pleasantville home to collect money from someone.

Police reports say at around 10 pm on Ocean Drive, Mr. Brown and a friend got out of a vehicle to urinate when they heard gunshots. It is said the shots came from another vehicle. Mr. Brown’s unnamed friend said he hid in the bushes as the driver of the car sped off. He later found Mr. Brown shot several times. The welder died on the scene.

Police recovered 21 spent shells and one live round of 9 ammunition, his mother Sherry Ann Brown wants justice for her son’s killing. She told reporters he was to start a job at Point Lisas today. She said he was very excited.

Mr. Brown’s friend is assisting police with their investigations and WP Serioux of Homicide Region 3 is investigating. And 23-year-old Mr. Solomon from Maraval was shot dead near his home on Beharrylal Trace, La Seiva on Saturday morning. He was said to be returning home with a friend at around 8 am after liming on Ariapita Avenue when he was shot.

It is said he was standing next to a Veterinary clinic on La Sieva Road when the driver of a white Nissan station wagon pulled alongside them and the car’s occupants drew guns and shot at them. Mr. Solomon was shot several times while his friend escaped unhurt.

The driver of the car then sped off. Mr. Solomon was pronounced dead on the scene by a District Medical Officer and his body was taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St. James, where an autopsy will be performed today. Police said yesterday that an arrest is imminent.
