The Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago condemns the murder of prison officer David Millett.

It describes the killing as an attack on the Prison and Justice systems. The association is calling for an immediate and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding today’s shooting incident to ensure that those culpable be promptly brought to justice.

LATT says it has every confidence that the police will thoroughly investigate this matter and bring those responsible to justice.

Senior Superintendent Millet was shot and killed outside his 2nd Caledonia Morvant home around 8:30 this morning.

Police are trying to ascertain a motive for the killing.
