Government is being told to address specific issues in the upcoming Budget.
This will be Finance Minister Colm Imbert’s first Budget since returning to office following the August 10th Parliamentary Election.
Among the groups making demands is the opposition United National Congress.
Chairman of the party Peter Khanai says the government has some explaining to do.
And the Chamber of Commerce President Reaz Mohammed says the government must follow through on promises in its Manifesto.
However the National Trade Union Center, General Secretary, Micheal Annisette says it has made several proposals to the Minister well before the Budget date was announced.
Mr. Annisette says the Budget is nothing more than a stunt.
He was speaking with Newscenter 5 yesterday.
