Amid strong backlash over his response to a body-shaming incident, former Health Minister Dr. Fuad Khan admits, he may have been too harsh.
Nevertheless he is holding to his position that obesity needs to be tackled head on.
He is describing as hypocrites those who want to bury their heads in the sands about a reality that threatens the health of children and the society.
Over the weekend Candace Santana posted a video telling of a body-shaming incident while she played mas this year.
She said she was proud of her body, but Dr. Khan said she was fat and was promoting unhealthy lifestyles.
He described Ms. Santana as a tub.
Yesterday tough love is necessary.
Dr. Khan said persons and groups slamming him should step into reality.
Ms. Santana has said she forgives Dr. Khan and she denied supporting unhealthy living.
