Chief Secretary Orville London says overall crime in Tobago is under control. This despite the murder of Richard Wheeler and his wife Grace.

The couple were brutally chopped to death at their Carnbee home last week Tuesday. The United Kingdom issued an updated travel advisory for Trinidad and Tobago following the incident.

Speaking on the TV6 Morning Edition program today Mr. London said he does not believe the islands tourism product will be badly affected as overall Tobago remains safe.

Mr. London said while there seems to be a targeting of a type of couple on the island the truth is that many people live and visit safely.
