Relatives of two young women are now in mourning following their deaths in a car crash in Tobago.

Dead are 19-year-old Lariann Perez and 13-year-old Shiann Thomas.

The two died during the early hours of yesterday morning.

Lariann Perez was from Signal Hill and Shiann Thomas lived at Glen Road.

Ms. Perez was the driver of the vehicle which was heading south along Auchenskeoch Buccoo Bay Road near the Carnbee Gas Station, when it ran off the road, struck a traffic sign and ended up in a drain.

Both teenagers died on the spot.

Autopsies are to be performed on the bodies today.

Officers of the Old Grange Police Station are investigating.
