Police are probing an early morning murder in Petit Valley. The victim is identified as Jabari Noel.

The incident is said to have occurred at Simeon Road around 4 o’ clock this morning.

Residents reported hearing gunshots in the area. The police were then contacted. When officers arrived they discovered the bullet riddled body of Mr. Noel lying on the roadway.

The body was taken to the Forensic Sciences Center, in St James, where an autopsy is expected to be performed.

Investigators believe Mr. Noel’s killing is a reprisal following the murder of Selwyn Alexander. Mr. Alexander was gunned down in Petit Valley on Saturday.
