Thieves allegedly make off with over 1 million dollars from the Mausica branch of Pricesmart.
Reports say at around 8 o’clock last night, three armed men entered the building, storming a meeting between managers.
Police say the men announced a holdup and ordered one of the managers to open a cash vault.
Assailants then allegedly stuffed a large sum of cash into bags before escaping.
Estimates place the sum at $1.5 million
Police are currently searching for three men in connection with the alleged robbery
Newscentre 5 understands no one was hurt in the ordeal.
The police were notified and a team of officers visited the scene.
An all-points bulletin was issued following the robbery and several roadblock exercises were conducted in the immediate vicinity.
However, the suspects were not found.
Investigators say they are reviewing CCTV footage of the incident and hope to make arrests soon.
