Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley is ready and willing to meet with Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar on the issue of crime.

Mrs. Persad Bissessar, via letter has called on Dr. Keith Rowley to meet in light of what she sees as the escalating crime situation in the country.

The leader of the opposition is also suggesting that Dr. Rowley replaces Edmund Dillon as National Security Minister.

At a yesterday’s Post Cabinet news conference the Prime Minister was open to such talks but he did not respond to the opposition’s call for the removal of Minister Dillon.

Dr. Rowley said he had not yet read Mrs. Persad Bissessar’s letter.
