The met office warns of bad weather throughout Trinidad and Tobago today. It says the rains are expected to be moderate to heavy and will be accompanied by strong winds, lightning and thunder.
Senior meteorologist Gary Benjamin tells us, this is as a result of a tropical wave, that passed over the country around 4 o ‘clock this morning
Mr Benjamin cautioned pedestrians and motorists alike.
He says Trinidad and Tobago is not under any tropical storm threat, watch or warning.
Nevertheless he says the met office would continue to monitor the situation and would issue a bulletin if the bad weather persists.
