Human Trafficking Continues In Guyana

HUMAN-TRAFFICKINGHuman trafficking continues in parts of Guyana particularly the interior and the new president of the organization engaged in fighting the crime finding and extracting victims have not been easy.

The Guyana women miners association’s newly elected president Urika Primus says she is ready to take on the task of dealing with human trafficking.

Ms. Primus and her organization have been at the forefront in the fight against human trafficking and have rescued a number of underage girls.

Some of the girls were being held against their will and were forced into prostitution.
