The Trinidad and Tobago police service is warning there will be strict enforcement.

The TTPS says, motorists will not be allowed to park in or around the Queen’s Park Savannah, from Monday morning, until Tuesday morning.

Assistant commissioner of police Garvin Henry says, the queen’s park savannah will remain a no-parking zone throughout that period.

ACP Henry says, the police are exploring parking options throughout the city, as well as implementing a park and ride facility to assist people travelling to the Savannah.

The police are warning motorists, about parking inconsiderately.

The 64th Independence Day celebrations culminate on Monday evening, with a cultural display, a drone show and silent fireworks display.

The celebrations coincide with the highly anticipated Caribbean Premier League match at the Queen’s Park Oval, between the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
