The visit by the Minister of National Security Edmund Dillon and heads of the protective services is said to have done very little to bring an end to gang violence and other forms of criminal activities in Enterprise, Chaguanas.
Last Friday Mr Dillon, Acting Commission Stephen Williams, Chief of Defence Staff Rodney Smart and ACP in charge of crime Wayne Dick toured the area following a number of gang related killings over the past weeks.
The team of officials spoke with some residents who expressed concern by what has been taking place.
However, head of the Islamic Front, Umar Abdullah says who was a part of the walk about believes the initiative had little or no impact on crime situation in the Enterprise.
Speaking with Newscenter 5 this morning, Mr Abdullah said while it was a good move, members of the protective service took the wrong approach.
He is planning to hold a media conference aimed at finding a solution to long standing gang warfare in the Enterprise area.
