Dr. Moonilal is being accused of trying to score cheap political points when he released the photos in the parliament.

Political analyst Dr. Winford James says it is clear the training was supervised.

Speaking with Newscenter 5 yesterday he said Dr. Moonilal used the photos for his own selfish gain in an attempt to shame the government.

Dr. James said the real question is whether the Defence Force was right to allow the children to handle the firearms.

Dr. Moonilal has defended his right to use the pictures, saying guns in the hands of minors are against the law.
