A heated domestic argument triggers the excavation and discovery of human remains.
The bones are believed to be that of 18 year-old, Hannah Mathura, who was allegedly killed seven years ago and buried in the backyard of the family’s Valsayn home.
Police found human skeletal remains at the Butu Road house, at around 3pm yesterday.
Reports say, an argument erupted between an elderly man and another family member on Sunday.
Following the war of words, the man, said to be over 60 years old, called the St. Joseph police station.
However, by the time they arrived at the valsayn house, the man had escaped by jumping the wall of the property, and ran through drains in the area.
Report says, he later returned to the house, got in his vehicle and fled for a second time.
He remains at large.
Following up on information of a killing at the premises, Senior Supt. Richard Smith and his officers, embarked on an excavation exercise at around 2pm yesterday.
One hour later the bones of a female believed to be Hannah Mathura, were unearthed.
Nine minors were also discovered at the home.
The children were then placed in the care of officers of the child protection unit.
A search is now on for the owner of the home.
