There is an assurance from Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh that there is no shortage of medical supplies in the country. Minister Deyalsingh says vital drugs continue to be available and accessible to those in need.
He says drugs are being sourced from local suppliers and in some cases appropriate alternatives are being used. Responding to a claim that the Lengua Health Facility does not have pharmaceutical supplies for treating non-communicable diseases the Minister said this is not true.
Mr. Deyalsingh urged members of the Opposition to stop misleading the public about the availability of vital medical supplies. The Minister was speaking during questions for oral answer in the House of Representatives yesterday.
