Water woes in some parts of the country have led to a ban, on the use of water hoses.
The ban became effective at midnight.
Acting Chief Executive Officer at the Water and Sewerage Authority Kelvin Romain explains, harsh weather conditions related to the dry season, has left the utility with no choice in the matter.
He says at this time, conservation is the key word.
He says, as a result of current weather conditions WASA has had to curtail production, at some of its main plants.
Mr. Romain says, the Hillsborough dam is the best performing reservoir, which has only seen a drop of one per cent in water level.
However, he says WASA is paying particular attention to the arena dam, which has dropped its level by 10 per cent.
Mr Romain was speaking at a news conference yesterday.
