The charred remains of a human body, is discovered in Arouca.

It is the third time in just over three weeks, that a burnt body is found.

Reports say about 9am yesterday, police were called to Windy Hill, Arouca after residents reported a foul stench in the area.

The charred remains were later found in a bushy area off the roadway. Investigators say there were several burnt tyres, next to the body.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Arouca police.

Investigations are continuing.
