Wayne Samaroo and Larry Phillip die in a boating accident in Ortoire Mayaro.

It is said the accident occurred on Monday evening, the bodies of the two men were found yesterday.

Mr. Samaroo drowned after he became entangled in a fishing net, while thirty year old Mr. Phillip was struck in the head when the boat overturned. He never regained consciousness.

Mr. Samaroo was 52 years old and lived at Manzanilla/Mayaro Road.

Mr. Phillip was from Libertville Road, Rio Claro. His body was found by his father-in-law Rajesh Seecharan

Mr. Phillip was found stuck between some rocks along the beach around 7 am yesterday.

It is said the men were returning from sea with the net and catch when the pirogue stalled in the river mouth.

When the engine stopped they pulled to the side, but with the rough waters the pirogue rocked violently.

As the boat began to capsize the men jumped into the water

Two other young men were able to swim to shore safely.
