A woman is tied up and beaten during a robbery in Las Lomas.
Newscenter 5 understands at around 9:30 last evening, Wendy Maraj was at her home, when two men stormed the house and announced a hold up.
Reports say the 29 year old woman became fearful and attempted to run, but was stopped by the bandits. The men then dealt her several blows about the body, leaving her tied up with her face covered while ransacking her house.
The woman told police after an hour she managed to free herself and ran to a neighbour’s house. She said, when she returned to her home, she discovered over nine thousand dollars in items including cash and jewellery missing.
Miz Maraj was taken to the Arima Health Facility where she was treated and discharged.
