Thirty-three former cruise ship passengers from Trinidad and Tobago have been reunited with their families.
Yesterday the group was given the all clear having been tested for COVID-19 and quarantined for two weeks following their return to Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaking with reporters they were elated to be going home.
The group made headlines for several weeks appealing for the border restrictions to be lifted so they could return home.
With legal representation and talks with the government the group received an exemption and was allowed to return to Trinidad and Tobago.
None of them tested positive for the virus.
One member of the group Ann Ramdial is still peeved by what took place.
She and her husband Phillip Ramdial believe the Trinidad and Tobago government treated the group badly.
While in Barbados, Mr. Ramdial was criticised here when he said the government was denying entry because of race.
Yesterday he said the statement was made out of anger.
The group said they were well treated by the Mia Mottley government and they are grateful.
