Police investigations are launched into the Petit Valley murder of Port of Spain taxi driver Kevin Stephan.

Mr. Stephan was shot dead at Morne Coco Road shortly after 2 o’ clock yesterday morning.

Newscenter 5 understands Mr. Stephan was driving his grey Mitsubishi Lancer near the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Petit Valley when several explosions were heard.

Residents contacted police.

When officers arrived they found Mr. Stephan slumped in the drivers seat bleeding from muliple gunshot wounds.

Police say they recovered several spent shells at the scene.

Mr. Stephan was 30-years-old.

Investigators say he was from Upper Gonzales Quarry Road, Port of Spain.
