A road accident in Barackpore leaves a mother dead and several others injured.

The woman is identified only as Shamila.

The accident occurred sometime last evening along GP Road.

Police say the woman’s husband and child were also in the vehicle at the time.

They are both warded at hospital in critical condition.

Police say the occupants of the second vehicle are also warded.

Police investigations are continuing.
