Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley tells the Labour Movement there is no need for a shutdown of the economy.

The Oilfieled Workers Trade Union has said a shutdown is looming in repsonse to the economic adjustments and the gradual removal of the gas subsidy.

Dr. Rowley says the union should know better.

He says it is intended that the government’s saving on the subsidy would be put to better use.

Dr. Rowley was speaking at yesterday’s Post Cabinet News Conference.
