A couple is murdered in Claxton Bay.

Dead are Narine Kalpoo and his commonlaw wife Lutchmin Jagernath.

They were shot dead at their Kalpoo Avenue home around 11o’clock last evening.

Police say the couple was ambushed at their home after dropping off their daughter Tracey Jagernath and her boyfriend at Pierre Road at around 10:50pm Sunday.

They say as they returned to 59 Kalpoo Avenue home the assailant seemed to be awaiting their return and as Ms. Jagernath exited the car he opened fire on her and her husband killing them instantly.

Investigators hope CCTV cameras at the scene would have captured the incident.
