Zeena Ramatali upset over a lack of sanitation measures at schools

Interim Chairman of the National Parent Teachers Association Zena Ramatally

Concerns over a reported lack of sanitation at schools.

The Ministry of Education reopened physical classes for vaccinated and unvaccinated students in Form 4-6 last month.

Speaking with Newscenter 5 this morning, Interim Chairman of the National Parent Teachers Association Zena Ramatally said protocols are not being properly followed and sanitation tools are not being provided.

Earlier this week it was reported that there were 5 suspected cases of COVID-19 at the Iere High School with more than 60 pupils now quarantined.

She said the situation is a major concern.

Ms. Ramatali further noted pupils were not properly wearing their face masks while in school or while travelling.
