President of the Police Social and Welfare Michael Seales says the promoters of a Sealots street party should be held accountable for the death of 14-year-old Jerrel Roberts.

Jerrel died after being hit by a bullet in the head at the celebration at around 11:30 am on Saturday.

Newscenter 5 understands no permission was given for the event.

Speaking with Newscenter 5 yesterday Inspector Seales said the promoters were responsible for the boy’s death.

The association president is urging the organizers to assist police in finding the suspects.

The teen died at hospital on Saturday evening after receiving emergency treatment.
