The media in Barbados is plunged into the mourning following the killing of Christoff Griffith.

Mr. Griffith was a photojournalist to The Nation Newspaper in Barbados

He was chopped to death while on assignment yesterday.

Mr. Griffith was at the scene of a murder in St. Michael yesterday afternoon, when he was killed.

The Association of Caribbean Media Workers has expressed “shock” at the murders.

The ACM says it condemns this and all other ruthless forms of attacks on journalists and the media throughout the world.

The regional body says “this incident highlights the vulnerability of media professionals and calls for greater vigilance by all when out in the field”.
