Forty-one people have been held by police and have been charged with breaching the COVID-19 regulations.
The group was reportedly found liming at the Mitan River off Manzanille Mayaro Road on Saturday afternoon.
Police say they also held 6 others at the river the night before.
The detainees were taken to the Mayaro Police Station and granted their own bail.
They are to appear in court through out the month of July.
It is reported one of the persons held on Friday night is a 57-year-old Executive of the National Petroleum Marketing Company Limited.
Also among the six are a 36-year-old teacher and a 30-year-old Firefighter.
The exercise on Saturday afternoon was headed by Acting Inspector Richardson and supervised by Acting Sgt. Bhim.
