Customers of the Water And Sewerage Authority in south Trinidad affected by a water stoppage should have seen a return in supply.
The authority gave the assurance yesterday.
WASA says the customers were affected by the shut down of the desalination plant in Point Lisas.
Customers in parts of central and south Trinidad, were affected by the recent unplanned shutdown at the Desalcott owned and operated plant.
In a release, WASA says operation was restarted at the facility at 2p.m on Tuesday.
It says repair work is continuing and production will be increased incrementally to full production.
The authority says it will continue to re-distribute water supplies from its Caroni and Navet water treatment plants to supplement the flows from the desalination plant until full production is achieved.
