The decomposing body of a woman is discovered in Sangre Grande.

She is yet to be identified.

Reports say a passerby at Babolal Trace made the gruesome find shortly before 6pm yesterday.

Police say the woman’s body was clad in a white vest and black underwear.

Newscentre 5 understands the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the body.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the nearest police station.
