
Police are now saying, there were seven bomb threats in several parts of the country and they are probing the circumstances.
The threats were issueed on Wednesday afternoon.
The locations included the Arima, Princes Town Chaguanas, Siparia and Sangre Grande magistrate’s courts along with Kent House, the head office of the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government and the Valpark Shopping Plaza.
The TTPS says, it immediately activated the relevant security protocols, heightened its security posture and deployed officers to conduct the necessary checks.
Yesterday, Public Relations Officer of the TTPS, Assistant Superintendent Owie Russel said, the Special Branch of the TTPS is equipped to investigate reports of bomb threats.
Acting Superindentent Russel, is advising members of the public to take all bomb threats seriously.
Newscentre5 understands security at all police stations across Trinidad, has been heightened and these measures will remain in effect until further notice.
