A feud involving neighbours in La Romaine is believed to have led to the killing of a man and the setting of a fire, which destroyed a house.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night on Marjorie Street.

The murder victim is 31-year-old Dareem Hamilton of Ste. Madeleine.

Mr. Hamilton was said to be at the home of his ex-girlfriend, Cleopatra Blaize, when he was attacked by armed intruders who also set the house a blaze.

Mr. Hamilton died after he was chopped several times, before the 4-bedroom house was set afire.

Ms. Blaize told reporters yesterday there was an altercation with a teenage woman who lives in the area.

She said the altercation became physical and involved the 18-year-old woman, her boyfriend and her niece.

The teenager was taken into custody.

And 3 other murders are also engaging the attention of police.

The deaths occurred in Sangre Grande, Arima and Caroni mere hours apart from each other.

Kaylon Mayers was gunned down at Punette Avenue in the Pinto district, shortly after 11pm on Tuesday.

Reports say he was assisting a friend in repairing his vehicle when 2 armed men wearing masks approached them and opened fire hitting Mr. Mayers several times.

He was rushed to the Arima Health Facility where he was pronounced dead.

Twenty-four-year-old Mr. Mayers lived at Benny Trace in Valencia.

An hour earlier police were called to Madoosingh Drive in Sangre Grande after gunshots were heard.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the bullet-riddled body of Khalid Clarke.

And in Caroni, the victim is identified as Jonathon Jack.

He was shot dead at Caroni South Bank Road near the, Sumting Nice Restaurant and Bar in St. Helena at around 8:45 pm also on Tuesday.
