4 nationals and 2 Venezuelans charged with murder of Happiness Supermarket owner

Four nationals and 2 Venezuelans have appeared in court charged with the murder of supermarket owner Xiangong Phang.

The 6 are 21-year-old Malik Kyle Jack from Pelican Extension Morvant, 24-year-old Lindon Williams from Laventille, 27-year-old, Kenneth Dabreo from Belmont and 28-year-old Emanuel Phillip who lives at Pelican Extension Morvant.

The 2 Venezuelans are 21-year-old Hudson Hugo Phillip who lives in Morvant/Laventille, and 25-year-Old Oswald Anton Marano also of Morvant/Laventille.

They are also charged with offences of robbery with violence and burglary.

The men are being linked to the robbery at the Happiness Supermarket on the Eastern Main Road in Barataria.

They are to return to court on September 29th.

The men are said to have used cutlasses and knives during their reported attack at the supermarket on August 23rd.

Several workers were wounded during the incident.

Mr. Phang died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
