Guyana is getting help to improve its security arrangements at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
The help is coming from the United States government.
U.S. Ambassador to Guyana, Perry Holloway said yesterday the partnership will see training being provided for airport staff and equipment needed for passenger and cargo inspection.
Minister of public infrastructure David Patterson said the agreement will help Guyana meet some of the basic requirements of the United States Transportation Security Administration.
He said the U.S transportation security administration includes the Ogle International Airport during its next assessment.
