Shooting in El Socorro leaves one man dead and another in serious condition.

The deceased is identified as Antonio De Roach.

Reports say at around 9:30pm on Saturday Mr. De Roach and another man were liming on Persad Lane when the gunman approached.

The assailant opened fire hitting both men several times.

Police say 25-year-old Mr. De Roach and the other victim were rushed to hospital.

However the Mr. De Roach succumbed to his wounds.

The other man remains warded.

Officers say Mr. De Roach was well known to them.

Investigations are continuing into the incident.
