An Arima couple is killed in a vehicular accident on Churchill-Roosevelt Highway in Mausica.

Karelle Nicholson, 20, and 24-year-old Kevin Frederick died instantly after their car flipped several times and threw both victims several feet into the air and into some nearby bushes yesterday morning.

The couple who shared a one-year-old daughter, Kaidee, lived at Cocorite Road in Arima.

The tragedy at the Mausica intersection, close to PriceSmart.

Investigating officers said it at around 11.45 a.m. that the car, a white Nissan Tiida, which they believed was being driven by Ms Nicholson, was proceeding west along the highway when it took up a skid, flipped about four times and landed on the shoulder of the highway.

Autopsies are expected to be performed on the bodies at the Forensic Science Centre,  St James, today.
