Independent Senator Ian Roach is again calling on the authorities to make life easier for persons living with disabilities.
In the Upper House yesterday, Senator Roach very few arrangements are made for the differently abled, many of whom use wheelchairs.
Senator Roach said even the bus service for the elderly and the differently-abled is lacking.
He said not even the pavements are structured to facilite differently abled persons.
He said for three consecutive budgets he has been calling for a national policy for persons with disabilities but to date nothing has been done
The senator was speaking during debate on the budget in the Upper House.
