The Defense Force is today assuring action would be taken if any member of the military were found in the wrong regarding the family of the Attorney General.
The Defense Force says an internal board of inquiry has been launched to determine how the family of AG Al-Rawi came to be at the Defense Force base in Cumuto.
According to senior Public Affairs Officer, Major Al Alexander, the inquiry is in its early stages.
He explains that several officers involved in the training exercise are yet to be interviewed.
On Friday, former Minister in the Ministry of National Security Subhas Panday demanded that serious action be taken against those responsible allowing children to handle high-powered rifles.
Major Alexander says if their findings conclude that there was in fact a breach corrective action would be taken.
