The three Rio Claro girls, who went missing on Tuesday, are found.
17 year old sisters Kareena and Kashmera Baball, and their 13 year old cousin Akeila Maniram, were last seen at the back of the sisters’ home at De Mallac Street, Rio Claro, at around 5:45 pm on Tuesday.
When the children were discovered missing, a police report made and a search launched.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and the Hunters’ Search and Rescue team, undertook a joint operation to find the girls.
During the exercise, a villager spotted the children at around 7:40 pm at the property, and informed the hunters’ search and rescue team.
A short while later, the trio was discovered in an abandoned house, a short distance away from their home.
The TTPS is expressing relief, and thanks to the public for assisting in the search.
Sen. Supt. Ryan Khan said, the minors were all unharmed.
Investigations are underway.
A reason for the girls action, is yet to be ascertained
