St. Lucia’s Commissioner of Police says law enforcement officers are hoping to execute a number of arrests in connections with late 2015 sexual assaults. Errol Alexander says DNA results in some of those cases are expected at the end of January.
The Acting Commissioner says the officers have been doing their part with special emphasis on patriols and education. He says the force will be failing in its response if it did not warn people to avoid becoming victims of sexual crimes. There have been 58 reports of various forms of sexual violence in st. Lucia up to november last year.
