A man, who is yet to be identified, has died in an accident along the Solomon Hochoy Highway, in Tarouba.

The tragedy occurred at around 7:20 pm.

It is believed the motorist lost control of the Toyota Sienta, while on the northbound lane of the highway.

He slammed head-on into a concrete pillar of the Tarouba overpass.

The victim was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he died while being treated.

Investigations are underway.
