The country’s COVID related death toll is now reading 285.

Yesterday the Ministry of Health said there were 9 deaths and 356 new infections.

Five thousand seven hundred and sixty two cases are active while the total positive cases in the country are 16,255.

Three hundred and eighty two patients are hospitalised.

Three hundred and eighty one are at quarantine facilities while 4,913 are in isolation at home.

At step down facilities there are 111 patients.

Sixty thousand six hundred and seventy one people have been vaccinated with the first dose and 1,179 are fully inoculated.

Meanwhile Tobago has recorded 1 more death as a result of the virus.

A 62-year-old woman with co-morbidities is Tobago’s 4^th COVID related death.

The woman died at the Scarborough General Hospital.

Her husband has said his wife’s death was sudden.

He said she died yesterday afternoon at around 3:30.
