Cops nab "Professor" wanted by the US.
30th July 2010.


An Assistant Professor attached to the University of Trinidad and Tobago is arrested at her home in San Fernando.
Dr. Yvonne Julie John is an administrator at UTT’s Corinth campus in San Fernando.
She is wanted in the United States on federal charges linked the disappearance of funds while she was principal of the Winterville elementary school in Georgia U.S.A.
A federal warrant was issued for her arrest after she was indicted by a federal grand jury in May this year.
Up to last night the 64 year old Dr. John was being questioned by local police officers.

  lets see if the AG weigh in on this one and give the woman a pass. Fat change that previllege is only reserve for indos. Just imagine if John Jeremie was trying to over rule the appeals and high court of the the land, what people like Martin daly would have been saying, but with this AG his interference in the judiciary he has no problem.

  As a former teacher who worked for this woman and a citizen of the community where the school is located, I applaud the excellent detective work! I hope she is returned to the US to face her punishment for this crime.
